Enamored by the growing craft-brew industry and frustrated with the average draft beer selection, Derar Zawaydeh and Philippe Masoud wanted a place to enjoy craft beers on tap and close to home. After creating several successful Crepeville restaurants in the Sacramento Area, they applied their expertise to untapped passion.

Founded in 2007, it wasn't long before Burgers and Brew started winning awards for its beer selection and burgers. Derar and Philippe attribute the acclaim to their meticulous approach to the dining experience-- no ingredient is too small to tailor for each dish. Their burgers are made with 100% Niman Ranch meats and the freshest ingredients, their sauces and dressings are made in-house, and their dining spaces are designed to best serve each location. Another key to success for Burgers and Brew's aesthetic has been dedication to the brew. Derar and Philippe are determined to bring world-class beers like Russian River Brewing Co.'s Pliny the Elder and Ballast Point's Sculpin IPA to the tap as well as local favorites like Sierra Nevada, Berryessa Brewing, and Sudwerks.

But, with an unbridled passion for creating sensational dining experiences from scratch, they had to make their own beer as well. Derar and Philippe opened Olde Ritual Brewing Company in 2011 with their inaugural brew, Rapture- an Imperial Brown Ale, only available at Burgers and Brew.
